OUR 2019 SUCCESS ON KICKSTARTER!

We got fully funded!

Paris and her team are EXCITED to announce that their August Kickstarter was a hit. They raised over $4,000 and had 85 backers (made up of friends, family, and total strangers who wanted to support mental health!) With two to three months of preparation on ramping up social media, the original Founder of Just Be Books LLC is happy the campaign went well. Paris says that the campaign was able to help her solidify her current product line, understand how to manage multiple moving parts of small in-house production, and make important partnerships with local organizations. Although a larger dream for Just Be Books LLC is to provide products for Social Emotional Learning (think ‘school’s version of Mental Health Education’), Paris and her soon co-founder (Rebecca Lee) are able to start small with book one of a six book series, two plush toys, stickers, and downloadable material for parents and teachers.

WE GOT FUNDING FROM DREXEL UNIVERSITY!

Did you know we got funded to work on our startup for 6 months straight from Drexel University’s Close School of Entrepreneurship?

We competed for a spot in Drexel University’s Entrepreneurship Co-op and MADE IT! We were one of 6 student startups at Drexel University’s Close School of Entrepreneurship and we got to work for 6 months STRAIGHT on this startup and raised $15,000 in startup funds. We currently reside in the Baiada Incubator full of great resources like faculty who are steeped in entrepreneurship, free printing (one of our favorites), and we are surrounded by other student startups who continually help us out through any entrepreneurial challenges we might face!
